We know that you want your learners to achieve their potential but you might not have the resources in house to support all learners as much as you would like.
How we can help ...
We work with you and your teaching staff to create additional learning opportunities for your pupils.
We deliver fun and effective teaching, which will give you direct return on your investment as you see learners growing in confidence and ability. All this can be achieved without adding to your permanent staffing costs, but by using our flexible support as and when required.
What we do ...
We will work with you to devise a programme tailored to the needs of your school and your learners, but to give you some ideas, here are some programmes which we're already delivering:
Small Group Intervention Programme
Our established "Small Group Tuition" programme provides a cost effective alternative to traditional 1-2-1 tuition; working with a maximum of 6 learners, in school time, we are able to address individual barriers to learning, deliver Individual Learning Plans which address individuals' skills gaps, build confidence and self-esteem and improve your 5A*- C (including maths & English) attainment figures.
For many schools the 1-2-1 tuition programme has had a dramatic effect on learners' achievement and is their preferred intervention option. Our tutors are experienced in providing stimulating, engaging and successful
1-2-1 tuition, completely tailored to the individual's needs.
Our Maths and English workshops will inspire and engage your learners. Using only the best games, puzzles and oversized resources, learners will be amazed at how they can use their problem solving and strategy skills to help them through the challenges of the session. These workshops can work well as standalone sessions, as special events, or at Open Days or Study Days.
Gifted & Talented Programme
Do you have learners who need a personalised approach in order to stretch and challenge them? In a regular school class setting with a group of 30 or more learners, this can be difficult to manage effectively. By offering extension sessions whether in school time or after school, your gifted and talented learners can be engaged and inspired using an investigative, problem solving approach.
Whether you are looking to run a one-off revision day during a school holiday period or regular, weekly after school sessions, we can provide subject specialist tutors to deliver a programme tailored for your school's priorities.
You might, however, just want your learners to be aware of existing holiday revision sessions they could attend, rather than running something specific at school. We deliver 3 hour sessions covering a specific area of the curriculum and learners can attend as many or as few as they need.
If you are running study days for individual subjects, we can provide subject specialist tutors to design and deliver your sessions or simply to assist your own staff in delivering an engaging and inspiring approach.
Moving from Primary to Secondary school is a major event in a learner's life and Secondary schools place great focus on making this transition a smooth one in order that learners settle into their new routine as easily as possible. We can provide fun and active maths and/or English sessions for transition days, with a specific problem solving focus. Treasure hunts and team building activities form the basis of our approach.
Parents are looking for an environment where their children will be happy, engaged and ultimately achieve their potential. We can help to present your school's ethos and approach to teaching and learning as a stimulating one where children are both happy and achieving. We can design sessions to suit your specific needs or you can select some of our existing workshop activities to encourage your visitors to engage with existing learners in a fun learning environment.
Subject Specialist CPD
If you have non-specialist subject teachers, then this could be the perfect approach to INSET for your maths and English staff. Focussing on active approaches to teaching and learning, your teaching staff can improve their own skills and confidence, enabling them to deliver engaging, stimulating sessions.
Access Arrangement Assessments
Many learners could be entitled to exam concessions, such as extra time or a reader, however the cost of an Educational Psychologist's report can be prohibitive. We can provide access arrangement assessments, for the purpose of exam concessions, as an alternative to statements of specific educational needs. These assessments whilst accepted by JCQ as suitable for access arrangement purposes are a fraction of the cost of an Educational Psychologist's report, ensuring that your learners have the best opportunity to achieve their potential.
