Calling all Budding Poets …

Tutors4gcse Christmas Card Verse Competition

Christmas Card Competition

Tutors4gcse are looking for budding (or established!) poets to enter our 2011 Christmas card competition!

Christmas preparations are well underway across the region and it is time for us to start thinking of ideas for our christmas card verse – we are not making much progress and wonder if you can help us ?

There is no specific theme for the verse, it can be modern or traditional, funny or religious and can be as long or short as you like.
Come on let’s get creative …

The competition is open to children from Cheshire, Flintshire and the Wirral, in the following age groups:-

School years 5-6 (Upper Primary)
School years 7-9 (Lower Secondary)
School years 10-11 (Upper Secondary)

A winner will be chosen from each category who will receive a personal goody bag, which will include a pack of Christmas cards including their verse, to send to friends and family. There will also be an overall winner who will receive £100 worth of National Book Tokens for their school.

All submissions will be published online.

The overall winning verse will be included in our printed Christmas cards which will be sent to all of our learners as well as schools and suppliers across the region.

Submission Information:

Deadline for submissions Friday 9th December.

You can submit your verse by post or email – please include your name, age, address and phone number together with your school details.

By email: Send your submissions to competitions@tutors4gcse.co.uk
